Miscellaneous Stuff
Read MoreThis is some strain of "flycatcher" Or Wren, very close to "Bewicks Wren", but without the light colored "eyebrows".. There are lots of very small variations of them. Just not sure which one. Two of them had built a nest on the top of a 6" diameter cardboard tube that was leaning up next to my back door, and I guess they got used to me coming and going... there were eggs in the nest when....well.... I guess a cat got up there and whacked the nest... But my cats are "indoor types", so it must have been one of those roving neighborhood cats....really...but they still hang around anyway....
This isn't me or any of my friends, but it is a picture of what Larry Gingrich and I did to a 48 Ford Sedan with hammer and cold chisels in high school. When we went out on the highway, driving back and forth from the cotton gin that my Dad owned, we used to marvel at how the out of balance tires would jump clear off the road if we went fast enough. We cut the legs off of some old steel lawn furniture and bolted the seats to the floor. Had the exhaust "stacks" coming through the floor and shooting up behind the seats..What a great time we had at 15.................
