Frame is out....time to attack the body.
Underside of trunk.
Sprayed down the interior with "rust killer".
Inside of trunk. Most will be cut out.
Underside of rear end location.. all will be cut out.
Not really "teetering", but looks like it.
Chassis pretty much done, rolling it back under the body. See "building the frame" gallery.

Tires off, scootin' it back in.
A short dolly helps the move.
Cable come-alongs surely are a handy thing.
Old block and a pair of LT1 heads and bare headers just for mock up and fitment. On final assembly, the "good stuff" was substituted.
Close to position, but as you can tell, some cuttin' and fittin' is in order.
Body mount kit with diagram of which go where.
More cable come-alongs to move side to side to line up the front body mounts.
Previous owner cut the front body mount loose at the bottom. I cut it down to the firewall.
Got these front body mounts from a guy in Iowa. He was parting out a '49.
Stress crack in "new" body mount. Rewelded and ground down...
Mount was a couple of inches too long due to the S-10 frame being in a different place, but left/right positioning was perfect.
Body mount trimmed down and welded a new "pad" on the end.
New "body mount pad" to mate up with the S-10 front clip.
Getting ready to weld the mount to the firewall.
First floor repair panel. Pop riveted to underfloor brace that then bolts to the frame.
Driver's side repair panel, pop riveted to "good" floor and welded to edge.
Transmission cover. Some cuttin' and fittin' required.
Shifter kit installed.
Makin' it fit.
Tunnel pretty much done. But changes had to be made later when I moved the engine back two inches. Grrrrr
That's ok. Carpet and padding will fix all this. As mentioned elsewhere, over a thousand pop rivets...
Body mount - driver's side, just in front of the rear wheel.
Most of the "cutting out" is done. Now time to build a new floor and "tub" the wheel wells for those lovely tires.
Frame height adjustment equipment. Ha......
Sits pretty good, but you can't tell much about this.
