The NEW garage !

Just got 5 gallons of really thick deck paint from Home Depot from their "OOPS" inventory for 80% off of retail (less than the cost of one gallon)! This is the 10'x10' shop floor, which is the first segment of the structure. The color looked like babyshit so I asked the guy if I could have some black color tint so he just gave me a half pint of it and it darkened the color just right

Three of the roof joists were built with a slot in the center to accept a 2×6 cantilever beam over the back porch. Just for proper alignment and positioning I used a 2×4..

I have three double pane tempered glass doors that came from my sunroom in Dallas 20 years ago that I'm adding to the shop area and on each side of the garage area. Had to refabricate the door frames. The two doors on the sides of the garage are so that I can open those doors Plus open the car doors all the way without having to back the car out to get the doors all the way open.

Standard exterior doors open toward the inside, but these have to open toward the outside, so the hinges had to be flipped.

Trick I saw on a YouTube video to use a chisel to make a "controlled" cut for hinge mounting. Works great!

The door hardware, which I can't seem to find, is "custom" with a 3/8" shorter mechanism. So I had to redrill the door holes for the "other set" of brass door hardware to fit. So I made a metal guide plate to redrill the doors.
